Tickerpane is a single page that keeps a handful of exchange rates and crypto quotes in front of you. It was built because most rate sites are heavy, full of advertising, and reload themselves constantly. This one is meant to sit in a background tab and quietly stay current.
Foreign exchange figures are the European Central Bank reference rates, published once per working day around 16:00 CET, retrieved through the public Frankfurter service. Crypto quotes are aggregated market prices from CoinGecko, including the 24-hour change.
The page asks this server for a cached copy of those numbers; the server refreshes them a few times an hour. That keeps the upstream services from being hit once per visitor, and it means the board still renders if an upstream is briefly unreachable — it simply shows the last good figures.
ECB reference rates are daily fixings, not live market prices, and they are not intended for valuing transactions. Crypto quotes are volume-weighted aggregates and differ between venues. Everything here is indicative and for information only. It is not investment advice, and it should not be used to price or place trades.
No analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts, no fonts loaded from elsewhere. Nothing about your visit is stored or shared. The page fetches one small JSON file from this same domain and renders it in your browser.
